How to configure Password Protected Directories in Direct Admin?
First, to login into DirectAdmin control panel visit,
https://exampledomain.com:2222 or https://192.xx.xx.xxx:2222 or https://server.hostname:2222.
Explore the Advanced Features section and click on Password Protected Directories.
Click on Add Protected Directory, the file manager window will open in a new tab.
Next step you can see the domain name /user name and its path explore it to see all the sub directory and folders. Here in this select the name of the directory or folder you need to protect.
Next give the Name of Protected Directory Prompt, here i sued Test1 ,than set/update user name: Protect1 and give password.
That’s it.
You can confirm this by going back to protected directories >> able to view the newly added or Current Protected Directories
